Llanidnoes short bridge
In the centre of the town
Llanidloes Short Bridge (also Grade II listed) is upstream from the Long Bridge in the centre of the town. Hemmed-in by houses and former mills, it carries a minor road over the River Severn. It was built in 1849, as the inscribed panel on the outside of the upstream parapet asserts, to replace an earlier stone bridge judged precarious.
